The officer attempted to complete a traffic stop, however, the vehicle refused to stop and traveled down New Salem Road before turning onto Beaver Creek Road and coming to an abrupt stop, according to authorities.GPD stated the driver, later identified as Brandon Shaw, 40, of Park City, then reversed the vehicle and began to drive at an officer at a high rate of speed, attempting to strike the police cruiser. Shaw failed to hit the vehicle and sped off again, driving into Metcalfe County and entering the Louie B Nunn Parkway traveling eastbound.
