Las Vegas police have identified the officer involved in a Tuesday afternoon shooting near downtown Las Vegas.Officer Daniel Perry, 34, shot at 49-year-old Thomas Lange in the 3000 block of East Charleston Boulevard, near Mojave Road, about 2 p.m.When officers arrived at th stanley cup e scene, Lange began throwing large nb landscape rocks at the patrol car, and then chased the car when an officer tried to move the car out of the range of adidas samba og the rocks, police said. Shortly after, additional officers arrived at the scene. According to police, Lange then pulled out a black cellphone from his pocket and pointed it at police. Perry then fired at least one round. No one was struck and no injuries were reported.Lange was arrested and faces two charges of assault on a protected person.
