HELENA 鈥?When people hear about 4-H they often think of animals. But animal projects are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to everything the organization has to offer.More than 200 kids are presenting over 1,400 projects this week at the Lewis and Clark Fairgrounds. Over the past year 4-H members took part in everything from forestry, to civic leadership to robotics. Theres leather crafting, theres air rifle, theres shooting sports, there s baking. Flathead Electric C jordan ooperatives Roundup Safety Board have donated funds to help keep kids in the Flathead Valley safe during bus stops.The board awarded $5,000 to the Flathead Community Foundation helping provide longer stop swing arms on school buses.The extended swing arms have proven to reduce illegal passing of school buses improving safety for children.The grant will fund swing arms in Kalispell, Whitefish, and Columbia Falls school districts.The funding is thanks to Roundup for Safety, a voluntary program for Flathead Electric mem salomon bers to round up their bills to the next dollar.Flathead Electric Public Relations Officer Wendy Ostrom Price says the additional funding goes toward community nonprofit safety projects. GAITHERSBURG, Md. 鈥?Police in Montgomery County have arrested two men for attempting to steal a Ride-On Bus in Wheaton.It all began around 12:27 a.m., when officers responded to th stanley cup e location for report of a carjacking.Police say the driver of the bus picked up the two suspects, Ricko Ford and Wayne Pitt, at the Glenmount Metro Station.Ford and Pitt allegedly told the bus driver they wanted to go to Greenbelt. The bus driver told them that the bus was going to Montgomery Mall.One of the men approached the driver and told them he wanted the bus. The bus driver got off the bus and walked away.
