ORIGINAL STORY: 1:55 p.m. - 4/15/2023 HELENA 鈥?On Saturday in neighborhoods across Helena and East Helena, Scouts BSA packs and troops wrapped up their annual Scouting for Food drive with a donation to Helena Food Share. A week ago, we went around and put plastic bags on everyone s houses and so this week we asked them to put food in them for like that we could donate, said Mathias Johnson. This week, we re walking around and picking all the bags up from the ones we put and donating them. Around 1,700 bags were dropped off by two Cub Scout Packs and six Scouts BSA Troops between the two cities, and since 2013 the event has raised nearly 19,000 pounds of food for the nonprofit.One of the Scout troops dropped off stanley cup bags just south of the Capitol building and began collecting shortly stanley cup after 10 a.m. and hopes they can put stanley cup a substantial dent in the event s 2,500-pound goal. LIMON, Colo. -- When they first teed off this fall, the Limon High School boys golf team wasnt sure what to expect. We try to give 100% effort, said Brady Rockwell. We just kind of have to keep moving forward, said senior Kory Tacha.They played with the same competitive spirit they always have. They just air max want to compete, said head golf coach Andrew Love. And we wanted them to have that opportunity. After all, Badger Pride isnt just an empty expression around here. Two back-to-back championships, said Trey Jeffries. Two-time state champs, Love said.Yet this team isnt exactly what you might expect. Some of them have never even picked up a club before, said Trey Hines.The 2020 Limon golf team is actually the Limon football team. Almost all of the football players are out here, said Hines, the quarterback of the football team.The boys were essentially forced into a more socially distant sport by the coronavirus. Its adidas campus a work in progress for all of us, I think, Tacha said. Golf is just one thing to take our mind off all the changes and have a little bit of normalcy.
